LAB 1: Digital in & out
Last weekend, as I had planned, I went through most of the labs we did this semester. I think it was more helpful than I imagined. To revisit the codes and playing with different values were especially very good for me, because it reminded me of the things I can do with my project.
I’m not ashamed to say that I started from the very beginning, so here is LAB1: Digital in & out.
First, the video I recorded this weekend:
LAB 1: Digital in & out from Asli Sevinc on Vimeo.
Second: The documentation from my first PComp.
1st step: Set up the circuit on the arduino and breadboard using a digital switch and 2 LED lights.
2nd step: Program the arduino on the computer and connect it to the board. When the switch is off, the red LED light is turned on.
3rd step: When the switch is on, the yellow LED light is turned on.
GETTING CREATIVE: Pin Switch
For the creative section, I used a good old clothes-peg as a switch! I wrapped the two tips of the pin with aluminum foil to make it conductive and put the wires inside.
So when there is no clothes hanging, the switch is closed, so the red LED is turned on.
When you hang your cloth, the circuit is open and the yellow LED is turned on!
PS: I really have to improve my photography/documenting skills!
